Further information
We will walk a beautiful 3-mile section of this, England's longest National Trail, gently rising over clifftops and passing rocky coves, sandy beaches and the exquisite historic harbour of Charlestown.
There's a wealth of wildlife to spot, stunning views, industrial heritage and lots more. We begin our walk at Porthpean and pass the site of an old gun battery before descending and getting our first sight of Charlestown Harbour from above. After passing through the historic harbour at Charlestown, there are soon expansive views over St Austell Bay. The path clings closely to the edge of low cliffs and crosses a golf course, through sometimes wooded paths. We leave the coast at Spit Point where there is more modern harbour activity at Par and return by bus to the start.
Fairly easy walking means you arrive back into Charlestown at the end of your walk, ready to enjoy an optional tea stop (not included in price) and the rest of your day.
